Successful Summit of Mt. Tsorku (5,800m) – Himalayan Mountaineering Course
We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our Himalayan Mountaineering Course, an intensive 20-day training program designed for aspiring mountaineers eager to explore the majestic Himalayas. Since 2012, this course has been equipping participants with essential mountaineering skills, including rock, ice, and snow craft, glacier navigation, leadership, high-altitude physiology, avalanche safety, and search & rescue techniques—all under the guidance of an IFMGA/NNMGA-certified mountain guide.
This season, we had the privilege of training and guiding 16 dedicated climbers, including 14 members of the NUS Mountaineering Team from Singapore and two independent participants—Mohamad (Chandra) from the UK and JR from Singapore. After weeks of rigorous training, the team demonstrated unwavering perseverance, teamwork, and technical skill, culminating in a successful summit of Mt. Tsorku (5,800m).
Beyond the climb, participants immersed themselves in the rich culture of Langtang and were rewarded with breathtaking views of the Langtang mountain range. Though Tsorku Peak stands at 5,800 meters, the team's dedication and training turned this formidable challenge into a remarkable achievement.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to each participant for their incredible accomplishment! Your determination and spirit embody our motto:
"MAKE IT REAL."
